Carla Williams took second place in the North Dakota Newspaper Association Better Newspaper Contest for 2007 in the 12,001 or more readership category for Business News Reporting for my article on Teleworks-working from home has benefits, disadvantages.

Marvin Baker took first place in  the North Dakota Newspaper Association Better Newspaper Contest for 2007 in the 12,001 or more readership category for Agricultural Coverage for his article In with the old.

Marvin and Ilene, were chosen to be one of the 20 finalist in the Innovate ND competition. Their idea is the first organic greenhouse in North Dakota.

David Browning.  David owns Indulge, #6 North Main, a business that deals in vintage home decorating, gifts,and vintage fur coats (restored and fully cleaned).  Usually one of a kind items.  Also, he does appointment only personal decorating for the home or office.  His cell phone is 340-9816.  Welcome David, we're glad to have you as a member!!

Our President Travis Halleman has won the MAFB 5th Bomb Wing Company Grade Officer of the Year and will be competing with other wings of the 8th Air Force in the near future!  Way to go Travis and good luck in the competition!!
 
Our Vice President, Bonny Kemper, has won the Minot Daily News Best of the Best Readers Choice Award for 2007 Massage Therapist!  Congratulations Bonny!

SBA Women in Business Champion - Mary Helen Hasby, owner of Cookies for You, has been named the 2007 North Dakota Women in Business Champion of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration. This annual award recognizes individuals who have fulfilled a commitment to the advancement of women’s business ownership. Connie Philipenko, Minot Housing Authority, nominated Hasby for the award. Hasby was selected after a statewide competition.
